🔺 About Lohagad Fort:
The famous monsoon Sahyadri Fort is more massive than the twin fort Lohagad. Visapur Fort Lonavala at a higher altitude than Lohagad fort. Many caves, water tanks, old houses, arch, waterfalls, temples are on the Sahyadri Fort. There are two buildings which are roofless now, are government offices from the past. Lohagad has a long history with several dynasties occupying it at different periods of time: Lohtamia, Chalukyas, Rashtrakutas, Yadavas, Bahamanis, Nizams, Mughals and Marathas. Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj captured it in 1648 AD, but he was forced to surrender it to the Mughals in 1665 AD by the Treaty of Purandar. Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj recaptured the fort in 1670 AD and used it for keeping his treasury. This fort was used to keep the winnings from Surat. Later in Peshwa time Nana Phadnavis used this fort for living for some time and built several structures in the fort such as a big tank and a step-well. Lohagad is an ideal trekking destination near Mumbai, Pune, Lonavala.

🔺 For Mumbaikar:
Meeting Point : Lonavala railway station @ 08:00 Hrs sharp

The journey starts with the Indrayani express. People interested should catch this train from respective stations with ticket till Malavli & meet at lonavala station. (Plz get your respected stations at least half an hour earlier, as there might be a long queue for the tickets)

Train Timings:- Indrayani Express
CST – 5:40 am
Dadar – 5.51 am
Thane – 6.14 am
Kalyan – 6.35 am
Lonavla – 8.00 am

Move forward to Malavli by local train (8 :15am at Lonavala station platform no 3)

🔺 For Punekar:
• Meeting point will be Malavli railway station
Catch Pune Lonavala Local Train … Timings are as below
Pune Station: 06:27 Hrs
Shivaji Nagar : 06:33 Hrs
Malavali Station: 07:40 Hrs

08:30 Hrs: @ Malavli Village

Breakfast – Tea Time

09:30 Hrs: Ascend
12:00 Hrs: Atop Lohagad

Exploration rest etc (1 hr approx)

13:00 Hrs: Descend
14:00 Hrs: At Lohgadwadi

Lunch Time

17:00 Hrs: At Malavli Station

From there to Lonavla / Pune by local
Take train / bus to Mumbai.
We would be returning to Mumbai by 21:00 Hrs (thats-subjective).

🔺 Things to carry:
• ID proof
• Face Mask (must)
• Hand Sanitizer (must)
• Min. 3 liters water (must)
• Good trekking shoes preferably Action or a good grip sports shoes
• Ready to eat food (biscuits, plum cake, chips etc.)
• Rainywear (optional)
• Extra pair of clothes (optional)
• Energy drink (ex. Glucon D)
• Cap, sunglasses, scarf
• A haversack to put in all the things to be carried. (Please do not bring suitcases or sling bags/ jholas)
• Personal basic medical kit (Containing an antiseptic, few bandages, personal medications if any, Antibiotics for stomach infection)
• Camera (optional)
• Please try to wear track pants and a full sleeve t-shirt
• Please avoid wearing Gold and other ornaments
• Collect all garbage and carry back we will dispose it in city.

• Smoking and drinking alcohol is strictly prohibited at the time of trekking and camping
• No plastic littering
• Wear full sleeves, full tracksuit to avoid mosquito bite or leeches
• No jeans/ skirts/ skin tight clothes
• Proper footwear/ shoes are essential for trekking
• Conserve and preserve our heritage
• No deo / perfume. After trek it’s OK
• We reserves all right to change/deviate/cancel the plans without any prior notice
• No Extra adventure/out of itinerary behavior during trek
• Trek leader’s decision will be final and binding
• Photographs taken during the activity which can be used for publicity purposes
• Each member will be responsible for his/her own safety, Jewellery, Cash and baggage

• We reserves all right to change/deviate/cancel the plans without any prior notice
• No Extra adventure/out of itinerary behavior during trek
• Trek leader’s decision will be final and binding
• TraWell Amigos will not be responsible for injury / accident / death of the participants
• Any damage to the property will be chargeable
• 50% refund in case if you cancel the plan and inform us 7 days before the event day
• No refund if the cancellation request is less than 4 days
• No Show No Refund
• Bookings cannot be transferred to another date nor it will be transferred to another person against cancellation
