It’s a easy to medium grade trek with lots of historical stories of our Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj ☺️

🔺 Short Info:
“Fort Raigad is much more than a mere tourist spot. It is a sacred place of pilgrimage, which has left an imprint of the grand vision of Hindavi Swarajya as cherished by Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.”
Fort Raigad was the capital of the most illustrious Maratha sovereign,nurtured by Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.It is a monument of his prophetic vision of Hindavi Swarajya.

Sightseeing:
The first main place on the fort is the main door – ‘Maha Darawaja’. After the main door, Ganga sagar and some remains of the palace can be seen. Hirkani Buruj can also be seen and one doesn’t believe the heroic deeds of Hirkani (she came down the fort barefooted at night from this point). The famous ‘Takmak Tok’ or place for life punishment – is on the north side. It’s thrilling to stand near Takmak Tok which is always full of breeze. One can see the ammunition store here. The marketplace on the fort is worth watching and history lovers spend time here recalling the great warrior.

The statue of ‘Shivaji Maharaj’ is situated at the center of the fort. The Samadhi of Maharaja is also very beautiful and one can remember Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and his contribution and full dedication to Swaraj. The other places to visit on the fort are Jagdishwar Temple, Koli Lake, Shirkai Temple etc. The view of ‘Lingana’ is also wonderful.

Meeting point at National Park, Borivali East at 23:15 Hrs

Move to base village by Private Vehicle

Pick up en-route Andheri, Bandra, Sion, Chembur, Vashi, Belapur Kalamboli

◆ Day 02:
05:00 Hrs – Reach Pachad Base Village, Raigad Fort …
Start ascend post breakfast and tea
08:00 Hrs – Atop Raigad
Exploration on fort
13:00 Hrs – Lunch
14:30 Hrs – Descend
16:30 Hrs – Base
Visit to Jijamata Samadhi at Pachad

17:30 Hrs: Depart to Mumbai
22:30 Hrs – Back 2 Dadar (Subjective)

🔺 Things to carry:
• ID proof (must)
• Face Mask (must)
• Hand Sanitizer (must)
• Min. 3 liters water per head
• Ready to eat food (biscuits, plum cake, chips etc.)
• Rainywear (optional) avoid umbrella
• Good trekking shoes
• Extra pair of clothes (Compulsory)
• Energy drink (ex. Glucon D)
• A haversack to put in all the things to be carried. (Please do not bring suitcases or sling bags/ jholas)
• Personal basic medical kit (Containing an antiseptic, few bandages, personal medications if any, Antibiotics for stomach infection)
• Camera (optional)
• Please try to wear track pants and a full sleeve t-shirt
• Please avoid wearing Gold and other ornaments

***Notes: Please keep in mind that we shall change our policies and procedures based on Government regulations in future. As you know, there can be last-minute announcements and we will have to follow them. However, we shall try to abide by the Government rules keeping in mind the welfare of our trekkers.

▪️ RULES & REGULATIONS:
• Smoking and drinking alcohol is strictly prohibited at the time of event
• No plastic littering
• Wear full sleeves, full tracksuit to avoid mosquito bite or leeches
• Proper footwear/ shoes are essential for trekking
• Conserve and preserve our heritage
• Photographs taken during the activity which can be used for publicity purposes
• Each member will be responsible for his/her own safety, Jewellery, Cash and baggage

🔺 Terms & Conditions:
• We reserves all right to change/deviate/cancel the plans without any prior notice
• No Extra adventure/out of itinerary behavior during trek
• Trek leader’s decision will be final and binding
• TraWell Amigos will not be responsible for injury / accident / death of the participants
• Any damage to the property will be chargeable
• 50% refund in case if you cancel the plan and inform us 7 days before the event day
• No refund if the cancellation request is less than 4 days
• No Show No Refund
• Bookings cannot be transferred to another date nor it will be transferred to another person against cancellation
