🔺 Brief introduction about RISHIKESH:
Rishikesh is a city in India’s northern state of Uttarakhand, in the Himalayan foothills beside the Ganges River. The river is considered holy, and the city is renowned as a center for studying yoga and meditation. Temples and ashrams (centers for spiritual studies) line the eastern bank around Swarg Ashram, a traffic-free, alcohol-free and vegetarian enclave upstream from Rishikesh town.

🔺 Brief introduction about HARIDWAR:
Haridwar is an ancient city and important Hindu pilgrimage site in North India’s Uttarakhand state, where the River Ganges exits the Himalayan foothills. Q: Which month is best for river rafting in Rishikesh? A: October to February: These months constitute the winter season in Rishikesh and see an average temperature of 19°C to 27°C. Despite the slight chill, this season is ideal for rafting and many travellers often visit Rishikesh during this time.
Q: Is rafting safe for non swimmers? A: The short answer is yes; rafting trips are safe for non-swimmers. While there is always a risk of injury in any outdoor activity, rafting is considered a safe sport for people of all ages and abilities. Additionally, most rafting tours include a safety briefing and a guide trained in first aid and CPR.
Q: Can I wear shorts in river rafting? A: We recommend that you wear nylon shorts that dry quickly but still cover your skin. Even if you fall in or jump in, your shorts will be able to dry off in no time. You don't want jean shorts that will still be wet when you get back in your car.
Q: What are the rules of rafting? A: The age of a participant must be six years or more. All the participants have to wear life jackets for the time they are participating in the race. The jacket cannot be removed without the permission of the instructor. The participants have to be seated in the raft and avoid horseplay.
Q: What to carry while rafting in Rishikesh? A: before you start on a river rafting trip in Rishikesh, make sure to keep the necessary medicine, repellants, lotion and sunscreen such as inhalers, bee sting kits, mosquito repellants, and lotions and sprays, etc. in a dry carry bag.
