Ratan means Jewel in Hindi is a fort in RatanWadi, Ahmadnagar, Maharashtra overlooking the locale of Bhandardara. The fort is about 400+ years old and often covered with flowering plants especially Sonki. Ratangad is also called Jewels of the Forts.

Ratangad has a natural rock peak with a cavity in it at the top which is called ‘Nedhe’ or ‘Eye of the Needle’. The fort has four gates Ganesh, Hanuman, Konkan and Trimbak.

At the base of this fort is ancient Lord Shiva temple about 1000+ years old, the Amruteshwar Temple at Ratanwadi, famous for its carvings, dating back to the Hemadpant Era – roughly from the eighth century.

From the top of the fort neighbouring forts like Alang, Kulang, Madangad, Harishchandragad, Patta are seen easily. The view of entire Bhandardara dam (Lake Arthur) gives sheer pleasure.

🔺 Itinerary:
Day 01:
22:20 Hrs: Start our Journey by Local Train Till Kasara Railway Station (Train Timetable will send after Confirmation)

Day 02:
05:30 Hrs: Will reach at base village Samrad
06:00 Hrs: Rest n Breakfast at Samrad village
07:00 Hrs: Start ascend to Ratangad Fort post introduction & instruction session
10:00 Hrs: Will reach at the top, Ratangad
(Fort exploration and enjoy amazing views of mountains)
Start descend to Ratanwadi village
13:00 Hrs: At base village Ratanwadi
13:30 Hrs: Lunch at Ratanwadi village
14:30 Hrs: Departure for Kasara Railway station
We will be in Mumbai around 22:00 hrs ( that’s – subjective)

🔺 Things to carry:
• ID proof (must)
• Face Mask (must)
• Hand Sanitizer (must)
• Min. 2 liters water (must)
• Good trekking shoes preferably Action or good grip sports shoes
• Ready to eat food (biscuits, plum cake, chips etc.)
• Rainywear (optional)
• Extra pair of clothes (optional)
• Energy drink (ex. Glucon D)
• Cap, sunglasses, scarf
• A haversack to put in all the things to be carried. (Please do not bring suitcases or sling bags/ jholas)
• Personal basic medical kit (Containing an antiseptic, few bandages, personal medications if any, Antibiotics for stomach infection)
• Camera (optional)
• Please try to wear track pants and a full sleeve t-shirt
• Please avoid wearing Gold and other ornaments
• Collect all garbage and carry back we will dispose it in city.

**Notes: Please keep in mind that we shall change our policies and procedures based on Government regulations in future. As you know, there can be last-minute announcements and we will have to follow them. However, we shall try to abide by the Government rules keeping in mind the welfare of our trekkers.

▪️ RULES & REGULATIONS:
• Smoking and drinking alcohol is strictly prohibited at the time of event
• No plastic littering
• Wear full sleeves, full tracksuit to avoid mosquito bite or leeches
• Proper footwear/ shoes are essential for trekking
• Conserve and preserve our heritage
• Photographs taken during the activity which can be used for publicity purposes
• Each member will be responsible for his/her own safety, Jewellery, Cash and baggage

🔺 Terms & Conditions:
• We reserves all right to change/deviate/cancel the plans without any prior notice
• No Extra adventure/out of itinerary behavior during trek
• Trek leader’s decision will be final and binding
• TraWell Amigos will not be responsible for injury / accident / death of the participants
• Any damage to the property will be chargeable
• 50% refund in case if you cancel the plan and inform us 7 days before the event day
• No refund if the cancellation request is less than 3 days
• No Show No Refund
• Bookings cannot be transferred to another date nor it will be transferred to another person against cancellation
